The broad evaluation of in-flight technology portfolio projects revealed a significant number of project activity with undefined dependencies and with unclear business benefits. The resulting portfolio pruned ambigious projects through the establishment of clear initiatives that established programs with deliverables directly tied to organizational strategic goals. Governance frameworks included PMBOK, ITIL and NIST best practices that established core standards to serve as the basis for future project management and induction of existing governance processes.
